Joel Grant, BHK, C.S.C.S., ACE Fitness Specialist / Owner

Joel’s experience in physical and mental training stems from over 10 years in the fitness industry. As the Clinical Director of Sports Conditioning and Rehabilitation (SCAR), Sports Performance Director of Velocity Sports Performance and Athletic Director of Athletes Edge, Joel has dealt with professional athletes, youth athletes and athletes going through rehabilitation.

Initially coming from one of Canada’s most elite fitness clubs, he possesses an Exercise Science diploma from Langara College and a bachelor's degree in Human Kinetics with a minor in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Joel is registered with the Sports Medicine council of B.C. and holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (C.S.C.S), USA Weightlifting, the American Council on Exercise, the National Coaching Certification Program, and Reebok.

He has played many years of various competitive sports, which has provided him with the understanding of an athlete's desire to strive for perfection. Joel has trained and coached a multitude of professional athletes and non-athletes interested in increasing their limitations, as well as individuals requiring rehabilitation from surgery and sport injuries. His goal is to improve health, knowledge, sport performance, and the quality of life for every individual who possesses the desire to learn.

Nicki Grant, BA, C.S.C.S., ACE Fitness Specialist / Owner

Nicki, a Chicago native, earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and soon thereafter complemented it with her interest in health and fitness by obtaining a Personal Training certification from the American Council on Exercise. Nicki has gone on to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the N.S.C.A. and continues to further her knowledge in the field. Nicki combines her background in human emotion and motivation with her knowledge of the functionality of the body to create fun and effective health and fitness experiences.
